Migration Readiness Check

A structured review of the things that decide whether a migration goes smoothly. Items marked blocker are the ones that tend to produce rework rather than inconvenience. Your answers stay in this browser.

How to use this honestly

The value of a checklist like this is entirely in answering it accurately, which means resisting the urge to tick an item that is mostly true. “Backups are configured” and “a restore has actually been performed” are different states, and only the second one is a control.

A clean score here does not mean a migration will succeed. It means the common structural gaps are closed. It says nothing about your specific workloads, your licensing position, or whether the business has agreed what downtime is acceptable on cutover weekend.

The reasoning behind the sequencing is in AWS migration planning.
